Croatia is a country located in the Central - Southern Europe in the Balcans area. For a long time it belonged to the ex country of Yugoslavia, but it became independent from it in the 1991. After the war of ex Yugoslavia, Croatia, like a phoenix, rebuilt all its most important cities and has become in the latest decades an important touristic centre.
Beautiful coasts and beaches make it a nice holiday destination, but it's not just sea and beaches. Nature lovers can find great waterfalls in the National Park of Plitvice or culture visitors can find medieval cities, most of all Dubrovnik with its enchanting castle.
And last but not least do not miss the tasty wine.
