San Pedro de Atacama is a little town located on the north of Chile and is in the middle of the desert of Atacama, but survives thanks to an oasis in the middle of the desert.
Around this town there are the highest mountains of Chile and South America, like the volcan Licancabur. San Pedro de Atacama is a cosmopolitan town as it attracts tourists from all the world and has two interesting things to show: the white church and the archaeological museum, that holds an impressive number of mommies coming from the period before the Incas domination.
San Pedro is also an interesting point of departure for natural attractions as the Moon Valley, the geysers of Tatio, the thermae of Puritana or the ruins of Tulor.
