La Serena

La Serena is a city located in the central Chile and is a place with beautiful sea and beaches, but not only this. In fact it has also other attractions. The first one can be the archaeological museum, where collections of the pre-colonization period can be seen, like jars "diaguita".
Another points of interest can be the church of Santo Domingo or the church of San Francisco, among the oldest in Chile. However the real feature of La Serena is the big number of colonial houses that the traveller can admire when visiting the city. Casa Gilberto or Carmona are beautiful examples of this style.
The surroundings are plenty of vineyards, where you can taste the good wine of Chile!
