Sofia

Sofia is a Bulgarian city situated at the Vitosha Mountain's foot. It is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria. Sofia is known for beautiful landscapes and churches, not to mention one of the best places to ski in Europe. Sofia has been around for more than two thousand years, and today, many people have come to realize that though it is one of Europe's oldest cities, there are quite a lot of great things one can do in Sofia.
There are several museums in Sofia that people can enjoy visiting. The National Museum of Military History, The Museum of Sport, The National Literature Museum – these are just some of the Sofia museums you can explore. Several art galleries are also found in the city e.g. National Art Gallery, Sofia Art Gallery, etc. Of course, your trip to Sofia won't be complete without checking out these lovely churches: the Hagia Sophia Church, the Boyana Church, St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Sofia Synagogue, amongst others.
