Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital of Brunei Darussalam sultanate.
The city of Bandar Seri Begawan is the most visited place in Brunei, as it is the capital, biggest city and communications and travel hub of this tiny country. It is a small city with not many, but remarkable landmarks. It is best used as a base for exploring the extensive forests and sunny beaches of Brunei Darussalam.
The most notable see-sides in Bandar Seri Begawan include Omar Saifuddin Mosque with its green illuminated dome and the free Royal Regalia Building, which holds most of the crown jewels of the Sultan of Brunei. Other places of interest include the beach promenade of the city, the water village Kampung Ayer and the amusement park Jerudong Playgrounds, which is now less visited, as it is not free anymore.
If you are in to shopping, there is the Mall of Brunei, which is extremely well supplied with numerous world famous brands in a corresponding price range.
