Copacabana

Copacabana is one of the most important cities along the Lake Titicaca, not far from the capital La Paz. It is also one of most important pilgrimage destinations in Bolivia, because of the presence of the Virgin of Copacabana. This church is built upon a precolombian temple dedicated to the divinity Copakawana and now is the centre of important religious and cultural feasts.
