Orange Walk is the third biggest town of Belize in Central America.
The town of Orange Walk is a quiet settlement with mainly agriculture influence, which has ever been one of the biggest points of production of sugar cane in the country. Orange Walk is a good starting or pass-by point for several interesting excursions and may be very good base for exploring Belize for the budget traveler as it is not considered touristic spot itself.
Orange Walk was settled by Mexican refugees in the 19th century and this is visible from the architectural stile of the town with its central square and narrow streets. It is also a home of a small Mennonite society, which gives rather exotic taste of the place. One of the few attractions of Orange Walk are the Banquitas House of Culture and the daily market in the central part of the city.
