Manama

Manama is the capital and biggest city of Bahrain in the Middle East.
The name of Manama means "sleepy place", but this is not the real story of this charming city. Being the capital of the progressive island Kingdom of Bahrain, Manama holds many attractions and a lively pack of interesting stuff to do.
The city is a nice combination of traditional Arab port and modern capital city, holding all the modern attractions. On the historic side of the city you may wish to see the Bab al Bahrain (Gateway to Bahrain), the souk market and especially the gold and crafts souk.Other attractions include the Zinj circus, the Al-Saboor Mosque and Almoayyed Tower - the tallest building in Bahrain.
On the modern side of things there are several ultramodern malls and shopping centers, which are worth a visit if you have more than several days of stay in Manama.
